Hi

My metal cutting band saw blade just broke on me. I was wondering if anybody knows a company that will custom make one for me.

The machine I got from a friend many years ago, and has done a lot of hard work. The machine has no makers name on it. ?

The blade size is 52 in X 1?2 in X 12 teeth. I can't find one on the internet for this length.

Can anyone help please.

Most of the bandsaw makers on ebay will make whatever size you want – just need to ask them

Order bi-metal blades. They cost a little bit more but last a lot longer and are better value.

Another broken blade – on an Axminster standard twi wheel machine.

I shall be looking to Tuffsaws for a replacement but I can't find an appropriate listing on their website. I want a bi-metallic for metal work – can anyone suggest the correct detail to ask for, please?

Luckily the 'heaviest' bits are 95% done, so 'Armstrong' will have to do.

+ Another for Tuff saws. I use them for wood cutting blades, and can only write I have every belief in them. Best wishes to everyone. Here in Scotland it is improving slowly so here is to a good summer for all with a freer time.

Can you machine take blades a bit longer? If so, might any of those offered by Screwfix or Toolstation suit? The latter's range is the more limited, though fit my 'Alpine'-badged machine.
