I have 35 copies of The Model Engineer from 1942 – 1950, just odd ones, but they have no 'value' I guess as there are plenty for sale in the "For Sale" section.
As I live in France, the postage is probably as much as they are worth. they have to go. Do I put them in the bin along with these books:-

Mechanical World Year Book dated 1929
Encyclopedia of Aviation dated 1937 (Just up Andrews street ?)

I don't think our surgery would want Old English mags – I did say we were in France. I could use them as fire lighters, but you know how it goes, you rip out a page or two and then start reading an article.
It is interesting to see the content of the mags, very different from today. Model boats, aeroplanes, locos. Plenty made in cardboard and wood. No CNC, rotary tables and problems with silver solder.

Glad to say that the problem has now (will be) gone as a fellow follower of this forum has agreed to take the mags off my hands. As regards the "sign in Screen" at the doctors', Have you seen the ordering screens at McDonalds. Catch all yer bugs off the screen and then tuck into the food – No Thanks!
