920 lathe – free to good home

Next week I am taking delivery of a new lathe to replace the 920 pictured. I would like to give the lathe to someone who perhaps does not have the wherewithal to buy a new one or possibly to a youngster who is trying to get into the hobby. The lathe does have other bits and pieces not shown but the bad news is that the inverter control will be removed so it will have to be reverted to single phase …..I have the motor……and the compound slide will have to be removed…..not the end of the world. I hope that this does not sound patronising. I live in Boston. If there is anyone interested please PM me.

In 2 -3 weeks time I have to be over Boston way so if it all works out with Mick I can offer free transport from Boston to the East Midlands and if not a lot further on could also do transport that end.
