Gentlemen,

Yesterday I bought a metre of the above for a project and I have a question, when I used this many years ago I seem to remember that there was a preferred direction of travel, am I correct and if yes which direction for the belt.

I believe that if You look at the belt, going way closes up the bottom of the linl, and the other way round opens it up. If You have forward and reverse speeds You will only lose 1/2 of the time!

If you buy the ones with red fibre links they have little arrows printed on them…

Gentlemen,

Thank you, the belting is to be used to replace a standard V belt on a hamworthy compressor set I own and show, to replace the original would require taking the engine and pump apart as they are directly coupled.
