I have a gh universal mill I got it from warco in December but have only just started to use it thought it would be a good idea to oil the ways but it does not have any oil points contacted warco and they said just oil the ways but the oil won't get under the ways?

I do the same for my Warco WM16 mill; there are no oil points in this either. I clean the ways the apply oil, this tends to 'self level' itself under the ways, then I work the 'X &' Y' axis to effectively 'screed' the oil along the ways. As for the 'X' axis leadscrew I use an extended spout oil can i.e. attach a long length of 4 mm plastic tubing on to the spout to reach under the table & a couple of squirts of oil onto the thread in front of the nut will ensure lubrication.

Made down to a price, not up to a quality. Seems like your only other alternative would be to instal some yourself?

Oiled as Mechman describes is effective. No oiling-points is not a sign of low quality, though providing them would make lubricating the machine slightly easier, if they are better than those inconvenient little sprung-ball things that dot the Myford lathes.

I had to dismantle my second-hand Myford VMC mill to bring it home, and found the ways were oily for their full length. Provided you oil the slides with the travels at full stretch each way, the lubricant soon find its way along them.

I tend to use grease on the milling-machine screws though – oil on lathe lead-screws.
