hello dave I seem to have a similar problem to the 1 you had did you keep any of the diagrams etc

is your lathe an early model

Hi Kevin,
Your problem is not similar to Dave's. Dave's reversing switch was wired in an unusual way with 5 wires giong to the motor. Yours is the straightforward way with 4 wires between the reversing switch and the motor. If you had the same problem as Dave then all the information required is contained in this thread.
