I have had mine. I would think Neil has his hands full sorting this out. Hopefully he will get as many done before the event as he can. There is a 100 person limit so hopefully we can all get into a very crowded room.  Check you PM box at top of page.

Sorry, but I'm not gonna make it this time. One of the grandkids has been in hospital with a severe cough and breathing issues on a Covid scare – mercifully it's negative and he's recovered enough to be released, but Carol and I have been looking after the other siblings all day and we're on the floor now…

About 24 attended.

The meeting started with introductions from everyone in turn typically mentioning their workshop size or equipment or where they were based, work or retirement status, or somethign like that. Then we did a bit of show and tell including a nearly finished Dividing Head, a 3D printed loco wheel test piece and a functioning armored car back axle with rubber tyres, a guess the lathe spindle, a V8, and some library books shelves for the intellectual ones.

I noted the following attending:
Neil (without hat), Roger, Emgee, Keith, Malc, Oldiron, Nick, Bob, George, David, Tubal, John A, Colin from Edinburgh, Pete,, Stewart, Steve, Simon in south of France, Bill W, Jimmy B, Derek, Maurice, Frances IOM, John B.
So people coming in from France and Edinburgh. Maybe next month we can get someone from the USA as it would be between 11am and 2pm and Oz as it will be 7am in Melbourne after our clocks change I think.

If you are stuck inside and want to try another zoom meeting with engineers you are welcome to join the EDMES Friday cofee morning at 10am, every week. PM me and I will send you details.

Apologies to Frances – we could see you, but it seemed that when you unmuted we lost your video and did not get sound

I did get the offer of a second, free unlimited meeting. As four week's time would be my birthday, I went for three week's time, 10 November, at the same time 19:00 GMT (the clocks will have been set back so no problems!)

Please offer some suggestions for any topics we could discuss.

If anyone would like to make a short (5-minute) presentation on any relevant topic, please offer your suggestions.

Hi All

Yes, good to put faces to names and hear of others interests.

On checking back in my records I have a confession to make regarding when I started the V8 engine build, it was 2001, not 1990 as that was when I started the 5 cylinder Radian, even so it is a long time in the works for what seems like a few parts.

Neil, a real piece of added value there.

I dont know how everyone else is enduring the pandemic. We seem to be able to go around our daily business etc, but it is getting very boring! What I miss, are routine exchanges outwith our small circles. And, while maybe not a perfect substitute for 'pub night', this helps to create some remedy.

It was also genuinely nice to attach some identity to profile names, matching them to talking beards.
