the “Hobbies Lathe”: anyone heard of it?

I recently picked up a "Hobbies and Practical Wireless" booklet sort of thing from 1932.

I couldn't find anything on the internet about a Hobbies lathe, I have a Hobbies treadle scrollsaw and I was curiousif anyone had images or information on the lathe.

Sadly the booklet is a five part series and this is about making the treadle mechanism. Nothing on the lathe.

Yes, it used to be treadle driven – also available with a nice cast iron stand a bit like the Singer sewing machine.

They did a multi tool as well, saw, sander and if memory serves a power plane all in one.

Googled Hobbies tools just now but the name has been taken over it seems.

I had a later version as a Christmas present once. Supplied ready made, thin cast iron open box section bed, plain CI bearings in headstock. Bit of a dog really….
