      Hi Neil,

I have replied to a post in the live steam topics and have received requests from subscribers for a copy of an ME article in Vol 141. I have scanned the article but I cannot see a way of attaching a PDF to a post or to an email on the website.

IIRC this website will only post jpeg pics; any pics I have posted I have had to convert / save as jpeg before I can place in my album.

          George.

Everything that's uploaded here is jpg

If you open up a pdf you can take a picture of a single page in the document with the camera icon

            click the icon

click the page you want, (you get a camera click noise)

            open up windows paint

paste the picture into windows paint

save the picture as a jpg in a place you can find it

This page can now be uploaded

            GL

edit. The quality isn't too bad

I think this sort of thing is best done person to person via private E-Mail. Much easier than futzing about converting to jpg.

I imagine there are also potential copyright / ownership issues relating to posting on an open forum.

Its long past time the "internet" got to grips with a micro-payments system for copyright owners by automatically tracking a document and grabbing a few pence via your internet provided every time a document is downloaded to a new recipient. How hard can it be to have an allowance for "a decent number of MB of copyright data per month tacked onto your internet subscription. If its only a few un-missed pennies per MB it will soon add up to something useful for anything popular.

Just wondering if alcs.co.uk might be relevant to this suggestion.

You could put the PDF in a cloud (eg. GoogleDrive or MyDrive) and insert a link to it in your post.
