Hi All,

Long time modeller, but mainly of the Balsa variety!

Free flight and R/C aircraft mainly, with the odd boat.

I've fancied getting into making swarf for a while, in fact I had a Hobbymat lathe a few years ago but didn't do much with it and flogged it on again.

Now the bug has bitten again and I think that with a little more application I may be able to get to grips with a lathe. I have some friends that are very good engineers, a couple are time served toolmakers, I've spoken to one about a few one to one lessons.

Steam appeals, I fancy a R/C steam launch. I recently bought a speculative lot of Stuart engines, including an unfinished Triple Expansion which is far beyond my capabilities so will probably be sold to fund a lathe.
