Dear All,

I have to say that with sadness this is my last post on Model Engineer. I have been buying the magazine for over 40 years and in recent years I have posted articles about what I'm building on this forum.

I have been praised for talking about actual models that I'm making on this forum as so many posts are just what should be pub talk and not written down.

However, I have started making plans available for my engine designs. The issue is I charge a nominal £10 for these plans, what I consider is a reasonable exchange and equal to the person buying me and them a beer. It is only pin money and will encourage me to make more engine designs and share them.

However, as I charge for the plans, someone on here has complained and so I will now only be able to advertise these plans via a paid advert.

Sadly, based on this, this is my last post. There are lots of other places where I can discuss my model making openly and without any bitterness.
