On testing, I introduced it purely as a functional task, to make sure it doesn’t leak, not as part of any sort of “certifying”.

It would be as easy to submerge the tank in a bucket of water, put a bit of air in from a bicyle tyre pump and watch for bubbles, provided that any O-ring seals are not then expected to work the wrong way round.
