Have you searched for vendors of "stock" gears. As long as the diametral pirtch and and pressure angle are correct you can modify the bore to suit your needs.

As David rightly put it's difficult to get off-the-shelf gears at 14.5PA

These have been out of stock at the usual outlets so I've made 7 pairs and been given leave to list them in the classified section this one time due to the lack of availability. They are steel gears with hobbed teeth and broached keyway.

I don't think it matters who makes them, marypoppinsbag sold them on ebay and myford tried to get them banned but as it only stated they was Myford compatible no one owns the right to make them or sell them. When Lesley died JS sold them to RDG as well as the few direct customers. You are welcome to list the on HWS.

Thank you Adam, for that consideration. If remember John saying that they tried to get Lesley's advert pulled.

It wasn't my intention to get into wholesale, more to fill a need but if they continue to remain unavailable I may advertise some in the future. More than half of the above sets are already claimed.

Try finding a 48 tooth gear. They are even more difficult to get hold of !

48T is not part of the normal set. What is it required for on the Myford?

The 48 tooth gear is part of the set of gears you need to cut inch threads on a metric 254 lathe. It was available to purchase as an option with metric 254s when they were being made back in the day……

                    Thanks Bill.

I made 7 pairs since it was as easy to hob 7 as a single one once the machine's set up. They did go quickly so I've now removed the advert.

                    Pete.
