A Part For Myford Super 7+ Can It Be Done

Looking for the oil flip top pots , if I can want to swap the oil niple on the bearing end of the spindle. I think thats 2BA – do we think it would work??? I have trouble using the oiler gun so putting oil in a pot is better for me.

Should not be a problem, the oil guns in general lubricate the operator more than the lathe ! The latest one offered is much better but still not perfect but there are a cuple of posts for mods to same.

You could always fit a screw on hydraulic style nipple and use the appropriate lock on end with a Reilang oiler. They do not leak.

I'll give you a bell on Monday, I'm sure I have some decent sized flip top oilers, easy job to fit a 2BA fitting to the bottom.

On my Taiwanese lathe I fitted flip top oilers, made from flip top toothpaste caps, don’t know if this system would work on a Myford. Ian S C
