After many years from my useful Chinese CNC machine I finally spent some money on a New Milling Machine. A clever little chap, well made and works well.

My problem is that the DRO booklet is in my opinion little more than useless. I have worked with DRO’s before but for the life of me I cannot seem to get this one into my head or to function.

The Mill I have bought is a Chester Champion V16S the supplied DRO is called a Mini LED Digital Readout a link to the product I have bought is here.

Has anyone had any experience with this DRO ? I really need to find how to reset it, then I think I need to calibrate it.

I have trawled all over the web like a nasty rash but can find precious little on it. Even AI gives me the wrong information.

I am tempted to trash it and fit a more conventional DRO head if all else fails.

Many thanks for taking the time to read this

Surely the seller has some responsibility to make what you bought a working item (supplied with a proper manual) if not send it back.

Bit of googling suggests it might be a YH800-3e unit.

          AI then says

” To access system configuration settings or reboot the unit properly, turn off the power switch on the rear of the display, then press and hold the Enter button while turning the power back on. ”

          Hope this helps

            Looks like an Aikron

            https://www.aikrondro.com/product/aikron-a10e-mini-dro-display/

If it is anything like their other “mini” it looks like a pain to use judging by the video
