Hi all, I have recently acquired this machine and I was wondering if anyone has used one? It may be a bit small for the things I do so I might be looking to sell if anyone is interested.

      Cheers

Neil, I have a somewhat similar machine by Christen but have a look at this link to http://www.groups.io and “oldswissmachines”

        https://groups.io/g/oldswissmachines/search?p=recentpostdate%2Fsticky%2C%2Cmeteor%2C20%2C2%2C0%2C0&q=meteor

Search Meteor or Christen and you will fine some info

If I can help please let me know – I did a total re-build on my machine a few years back

I have one also which I ‘straightened out’ a few years ago. Mine only does tiny drills up to 1/8″. I use it on odd occasions such as when I have unexpectedly damaged some drills such as putting them in a spindle that was unknowingly running backwards, leaving me wondering why I couldn’t make holes anymore. It’s quicker to get it down from the shelf than get online and order more. And one can choose your own angles etc.

Here’s mine that I fettled a few years back, its actually 110v probably why I got it relatively cheap of the we’ll know web site plus it was in a sorry state.

Now works as it should and will grind from No60 to 5/16″ or 0.5mm to 8mm  — a few photo’s and a before and after drill.

                    It certainly is!

Is the motor really 110V or did someone just run it on 110V, hence the plug?

Yes originally 110v, the machine was sold into Canada but somehow ended up in the UK,  I got the information from Mr Brunner who was the UK agent for many years, he was also very helpful with information during the restoration.
