              That shape looks like it's intended to make it easy to pop them in a tube or hole, point first.

                They are 5.5mm diameter on the body and 16mm long plus 10mm of pin. Made of steel which looks bright zinc plated.
                The pin is different steel to the body and possibly hardened.
                Got to be some kind of fixing but I’m not sure what. There are 100 in the bag.
