It just lets you put in a small comment if you wish.

I have "Retired & happy in South Devon." in mine.

            Brian thanks for that.

Will see if it works for me.

We are moving to Devon soon a bit north of you.

Edited  to say that —    still wearing L plates —  is right there.

            Thanks

Purely out of interest/boredom I looked to see where your comment was visible. I dont recall seeing anybody else's status comments so I assumed nobody bothered to use them.

Since you do actually have a comment (so I know at least somebody has bothered) I tried to find it.

Its does not show in any of your postings, It does not show in your profile (you dont have one) so where is it?

I think I put a status some time ago but I've never seen it since. It could be of coarse that I've missed the 'bleedin obvious'!

You can see your own status when logged in – right hand column under "My Friends"

You can see other Members status only if they have a public profile, by clicking on their name at the top left of a post.

Strange system and not really of much useindecision

As you say – Strange system and not really of much use.

The only person that can see that I am still wearing L plates is myself.

You can only seethe status of your 'friends'.

I think the 'friends' system just comes along with the software and is aimed at forums where there are groups of people using it for 'live' communications about projects etc. and they need to know when members of their group are available online.

Thanks for that Ian, just checked and realised that I hadn't ticked the 'show' box, done now.
