Thanks Jason, I hadn't considered that possibility, I didn't have any details, it was just a picture of the man stand which I was using to get the detail of the axle lubricators and smaller parts.
Having looked into it a bit more deeply it appears to be a picture of PB 9687 a 1920 crane engine, and although the photo looks as if its a spoked flywheel it is actually a trick of the light and it does have a solid flywheel.
Thanks for your help and the upshot is that I can ignore it for my engine thankfully!!
