      I have a hankering to build a hardness tester, I recall seeing one described in Model engineer back in the late 80's by Dave Lammas, unfortunately I no longer have access to those and was wondering if anyone had a copy of the articles that they could share.

          If you cannot get hold of the articles, Blackgates catalogue includes a range of David Lammas' tools and they list (or at least listed, my catalogue is the 2015 edition) the instructions and drawings as well as the casting set.

                Hello Gray,

                I have these copies so in the absence of any other arrangements, could slowly copy them into jpg's- there's a lot of it!

                If interested, please pm me in the first instance via the mag then we can discuss timescales etc. FWIW, I won't do hard copy – it will take too long.

                Also, are you aware that Rod Jenkins in MEW245 reports on building it.

                    Hi guys,

                    I was part way through posting when I got called away and when I got back and hit the post button Brian had already said what I had. Blackgates reproduce Dave Lammas's original articles as the instructions so I guess they have the copyright permission to do that. I really enjoyed making mine and the Blackgates castings were nice qualitysmiley
