Looking forward to reading the experiences of others. I have a few projects on the go myself. 3 1/2” Helen Lassie stopped and primed reading for painting. 5” Stirling Single stripped and cleaned reassembled on display in unpainted finish. Henley Greenly 1 1/4” English Mechanics Traction engine dismantled with parts missing. 1 1/2” Allchin Royal Chester complete but unsteamed. I would call myself a restorer rather than a builder but admire the skill of those who build.

              Welcome to the forum Glyn,

I get the feeling traction engines (including in more modest scales) are becoming more popular.

It surprises me that it has taken this long for traction engines to get as popular as locos, because you don't need a track to enjoy them.

                    Dek.
