Just a quick question my mate has just bought the above lath and would like to know what vice to buy for it, to use for milling it has the vertical attachment and the horizontal as well.

Hi Alan

The "Classic" Myford machine vice for the vertical slide is HERE

Light milling of small parts only – it's not very substantial.

I disagree the Myford style is not a bad thing for its size & typeand good work can be done using it, but there are better alternatives than the "Classic" type have a look at the offerings from Chronos (usual disclaimer)

A little more expensive though,
