Once again I'm awaiting delivery of the latest issue of ME magazine (4655), Is there any reason for late delivery or am I just unlucky.

COVID is causing a certain amount of bother at the moment!

            Mine arrived Saturday afternoon.

Patience. I'm sure the post office are doing their best. Especially at 85p a pop for a first class letter. We've got a lot of posties off work in Essex.

I am still waiting for mine in North Hampshire, let’s hope it’s not lost mailbags like it was a couple of years ago.

Oh dear, with current restrictions affecting publicatioin and postal deliveries you are fortunate and should count yourself lucky that any magazines were published and delivered at all.

I just received (4th January 2021) a Christmas card from my sister in the UK, it was posted 11th December 2020.

As for a reason for 'late delivery' consider keeping up with the daily news. There are a few major issues affecting our daily lives at this time..

I was absolutely astounded when all my 2020 copies of MEW actually made it to Australia.

So please be patient Eric, there are a few greater problems affecting the world than your timely delivery of a magazine. Hopefully it should arrive soon.

I sent a card to a friend in Faulconbridge to the west of Sydney sent at the beginning of December but received on new years eve. So with things as they are all around the world post will be a little slower than normal

                              My ME came on Saturday.

Please allow extra time for obvious reasons.

If issues do not arrive, raise a query with subscriptions (see bottom right of each page of the website for details).

                                Hi Dave,

I'm afraid I don't know the timetable for ME but it has probably bee adjusted to reflect both the last lockdown and Christmas/New Year break.

I have enquired about the online date for ME 4655 – I suspect print copies have got a bit ahead of the digital timetable again.

It is not the only magazine I am expecting that has not arrived.

I suspect that locally we no longer have a daily postal delivery. Should this surprise anyone?

It is now fairly normal to have no (UK city suburb ) post for two or three days, and then to receive a whole load.

Presumably whatever staff are able to work can no longer work their normal walk, and so the mail gets bulked up every few days, when the posties can deliver in our area.

The things awaited with baited breath are Birthday cards, Vaccination notification and Issue 300.

Hopefully the pension payments are going into the bank electronically!

I was chatting to our local postie (Scottish Borders) this morning – there are parts of the country, south-east and London in particular, with huge undermanning problems due to a certain virus variant. From what I gather if you get a delivery every few days at the moment you are luckier than some!

                                                  Please bear with us.

There has been unwelcome slippage in production schedules due to various lockdowns.

I'm sure everyone will appreciate that we are not always being able to produce magazines in time for the provisional on sale date in the previous issue. Editors have no control over this, scheduling is done centrally across all magazines.

Magazines are mailed out in advance of general sale, and normally arrive around Monday or Tuesday before an on sale date on the following Friday.

It is clear that the Royal Mail are struggling to achieve regular deliveries and there are additional delays in the system.

Yesterday I got a first class letter dated 19 December that was posted in Birmingham (about 30 miles away), that's over two weeks for what would normally be a next day delivery.

We are also only getting 2 or 3 deliveries a week.

This is totally beyond our control, under these circumstances all we can do is ask people to be patient and accept that some people may not receive their copies until a week or more after others get the same issue.

I had a similar problem 2 years ago, missing issues then duplicate issues. In the end I cancelled the subscription. Couple of days ago I thought I would try again so paid for a new subscription. I appreciate there are postal delays, I just hope I don't have the same problems as before.
