I have just looked on the LMX site and notice that it is now cancelled for 2023.

I knew that the original organiser had sadly passed away, but thought that the family planned to continue with the event. Is this a change of mind?

Also is there any other reasonably sized London/Home Counties model engineering event planed in the next year?

      Many thanks

I read this as Lowestoft Model Engineering Exhibition, but I have checked it is London, not Lowestoft, that would explain the confused look when I questioned this at Forncett Steam museum today.

Yes Lowestoft is L O W M E X and London is L M E X. Goodness knows why its written like that first time I've seen it in print and causing confusion as well. And yes L O W M E X is still on see you there.

The Midland Show is not all that far from London and is not far from Leamington Spa train station. A shuttle bus service has been available in the past from the station but I don’t know if it will operate this year. Abundant free parking is available at the show ground.

I was at this years Midlands Exhibition and asked why the London Show was cancelled. The answer I got was that the planning for the Midlands show was basically complete at the time of the death, but the family felt unable to cope with all the business that goes with a death AND plan the London Show at the same time so cancelled the London Show, a shame but understandable.
