Got mine MOT'd and serviced last Thursday, we live in the sticks so rely on our own transport, we didnt have much of a bus service in normal times, now I fear it will vanish.

I live just off the busy maim road to Portland that is part of Weymouth's busiest bus route – about 10min intervals on weekdays. Presently it is on Sunday times, but some of the bus services around Weymouth have been suspended completely. I saw two buses this morning, in opposite directions, with only 3 or 4 passengers each.

(It's all right – I was combining authorised exercise with essential shopping – a stroll to the Co-Op for scran.)

Got mine done on Wednesday – it was booked for Thursday but the garage rang up calling it in a day early, as they were going to close for the duration on Thursday, and I was the last job they could fit in beforehand. Got back from the MOT, turned on the radio, and heard that I'd have had 6 months grace after all…

I wonder if the renewal date on these deferred MOT's will be 12 months after the date of the deferred MOT, or 12 months after the date on which the MOT was originally due ?

Woohoo I thought when the MOT news was announced, I won't need to get the motorbike MOT'd in May. Then reality kicked, MOT or not, when am I going to use it?

As I said I had mine MOT'd and serviced on Thursday, it needed an anti roll bar link which my garage had no difficulty getting from local suppliers, based on other makes of car mine is not that popular, my nearest main Dealer is twenty five miles away and had already had a letter saying they were shutting down.
