      Mine are square tips and leave a rag on the bit I have just parted off

      I use the Arc Blade with the GTN tips

      Can you buy GTN tips that are slightly angled so there is no rag?

          Look for GTR (right hand) or GTL (left hand) ather than the neutral N that you are using

                Be aware that the angled tip style will tend to cut sideways a bit, owing to the blade being most flexible from side to side. Try to avoid extreme depths. A possible way around that could be to do most of the depth with a square tip, and then turn the blade round to use an angled tip in the other end for the last bit.

                    A new one on me too! I remember grinding HSS tools with an angle to get rid of the nub on the required offcut, in fact I still have one ground this way in my collection.
