I was trawling ebay as usual and came across this , does anyone know what it is for or what machine its off?

If the blocks on the ends of the arms are some sort of plastic then it looks like a precision travelling steady for a cylindrical grinder?

Andrew , thanks very much, i hadnt a clue what it was , Found a photo of a more basic looking type from a jones & shipman cylindrical grinder.
