Is the long bed version deeper or more webbed than the standard version, or, is it the standard version with the middle ways lengthened. Getting conflicting information. I would hope it is a different and more reinforced casting.

The long bed is a significantly heavier and stiffer casting the the short bed. My Long bed ML7B is the one that dad claimed he bought for my 10th birthday 50 years back. Be that as it may, it's more rigid than the short bed ML7 I had until dad popped his clogs.

With the long bed on a flat base plate there isn't room to squeeze your fingers under the bed between the feet, it is deeper and more rigid than the standard length casting.

Your conflicting info must be from someone who doesn't know who's guessing

OK – thanks for the confirmation. I have just bought a super 7 bed (only the bed) (long) – the increased depth will indeed make it much stiffer.
