My Godess – in – residence can spend hours looking for things that she has put "somewhere safe", I can't imagine what it would be like if she had one of those to store stuff in

Probably made by an army of craftsmen and apprentices, I doubt it is one mans work.

Indeed a beautiful example of craftsmanship from an elegant era. The inlays are very nice.
