      Hi All,

Decided to carry out Journeyman's leadscrew gear train retractor mod on the WM250VF. Thought I'd better take off the front cover on the head stock housing that holds the LCD RPM display and the speed control knob to make sure there was nothing in the way of the hole I was going to drill and tap. I found the Live wire going to the RPM indicator PSU was actually rubbing on the head stock spindle!! No doubt it would have rubbed through eventually. You can see from the photo where it has been rubbing on the shaft. Would just take about 5 minutes to check your own WM lathes.

      Cheers the Noo

      John

Yes mine's the same on the inverter model, several wires too long and a few on the short side.
