I registered some weeks ago and was advised I was in a moderation queue.

I still can’t access any threads etc as it says restricted?

Have previously e mailed but not had a reply and just tried again so will see what happens.

Anybody know of a problem joining etc or what I’m doing wrong?

There have been similar posts on the forum, going back for a few years. It seems that it takes a lengthy period, before one can join and access the site. Patience is required! I suspect the moderator has little time for administration. Understandable as it is a voluntary labour of love.

Hi Richard TT should be somewhat better these days as TT now have a new admin if you would like I could try and contact him and pass on your email address. PM me if you wish to try this route.

Thank you Harry that would be great – very kind of you.

I will PM you – It seems you have to be registered just to read topics and some sections you have to donate to get access. I tried to register some weeks ago – should I expect an e mail to finally tell me if I am approved to join ?

Thought I might get some tips for building my Minnie !

Same problem here. I’ve registered and been in restricted access for several weeks. Can’t read or post anything.

Can’t donate (which is required to gain access to major parts of the site and which I would be perfectly happy to do if I could) because access to the donate page is denied!

I’ve emailed the admin twice, no reply.

I’m starting to think this is a zen initiation test, along the lines of ‘If want to build traction engine you do, first learn great patience you must’.

if you PM me on here with your email address, rough date of “joining” and your user name I can contact a moderator and get it sorted for you.  It’s a little complicated but basically the site owner was the single moderator and for personal reasons he wasn’t active for a long period.  Another site member stepped up to help but messages to the site I don’t believe go to him.  If you give me your details I can contact him direct and I am sure he will sort it for you.  Caveat I won’t be able to do it until Monday now so your patience will be stretched a little longer.

Do bear in mind that the TT moderator one man in his “spare” time.  He might have a job, afamily and a workshop time quota to fill as well.
