Number stamps quality.

A set of stamps in the factory had been used to stamp hardened steel, they do not survive that sort of treatment. I would have thought the owner of combination set would have understood that the rule is hardened but their initials are stamped on it, rather shallow indentations though. I must say I hate precision tools being marked but in the factory they used an electric etcher to mark tools with a calibration ID mark.
