I think that when the 2 Vulcans flew down to bomb the runway at Port Stanley, a fleet of Victors was used to refuel them and a complicated scheme was worked out to make sure the Victors could keep refueling each other and the Vulcans, all done in flight.
Seems that everything was at the very limits of range and it all got rather close to disaster at times.
The whole organisation was prepared in a very short time frame into the bargain.
Even then only one Vulcan actually made it, one dropped out due to other problems.
There was BBC programme earlier this year about the raid, called "Falklands' most daring raid", if repeated it would be worth watching.

I was peripherally involved, regularly traveling between Scampton and Mareham at the time. They did it more than once. Story here
