My apologies to all but yet again I am confused.

I am now making the tender, but am totally at a loss as to the front end of this. I see and understand all the connections to the Horn Plate

The lower half contains the water, and the whole fitting attaches to the Hornplate. But although I undertand most of it I can find no details of the front end needed to retain the water.,

What retains the water in the front end ???.

No doubt I am just being blind and I should be able to fathom it out, but I am completely LOST at presnt.

Plan 5 Shows all the Tank fittings. Is the 'TANK END The same as shown also as the FRONT PLATE , which appears to fot to the front of THE TENDER TANK TOP (I think this also the FOOTPLTE ? if so where do the TENDER WATER UNION and the TENDER BUSH fit.

I hope I have explained my problem clearly Any assistance is always much apreciated.

I assembled all that I ahve done so far so that I could show my sons and Grandchildren , but, I'm sorry I fogot to take photos , and have now taken it all apart as it is easier ( and less heavy ) to deal in samll portions.

        Thank you

        Malcolm

The "Tender front plate" which is the rectangular plate flanged top and bottom fits into the front end of the tender with the flanges soldered to the footplate (tender top) and the tender bottom, notched in the corners to clear the flanges of the top and bottom.

The bush is shown on the side GA view and is located centrally and at the lowest part of the tender but far enough back to clear the tender front's flange.

Water union screws into teh bush and retains the banjo
