I have a daily email from workshoptools.net. This often shows off things people have made, some useful ideas, some shall we say not very interesting. My point is an interesting little tool utilising a 'leadscrew of 20tpi and a control knob with 50 divs., = 1000, it says in the blurb. His pictures show a knob with numbered divs, 0/5/10 etc, up to 45. So far, so good. There are 3 further un – numbered divs between each of the numbered ones.
I don't get it; how convenient is 5 divided by 3?
Or am I missing something?
