I have treated myself to a new alarm clock – MUSE  M-192CR with a Jumbo LED?? display.  Now I CAN see the time at night.  The display has a dimmer with settings – Normal,Dim and Off  however the DIM (considerably dimmer than Normal) is rather too bright and I could read a book by it.  Ignoring guarantees etc, what is the considered opinion that there may be an easily got to resistor inside controlling the “Dimness” of the display,  or would I be on a hiding to noting ? My other thought was to put some coloured acetate sheet over the display.

I think coloured acetate would be the easier and cheaper option, I doubt there would be anything serviceable inside.

Unless his eyesight is good and the clock is out of arm’s reach!

I puposely placed my alarm out of reach, so I had to at least get out of bed to stop the alarm.  Too easy to turn it off, turn over and go back to sleep!🙂

I have previously used window tint film.

A quid for a small sample from ebay.
