        Hi guys,

A beginners question if I may.

I have some oilite bushes to fit to chassis side plates plus pinion gears to fit to motor shafts. Can you tell me what dimensions I should aim for to give a good interference fit.

        Regards

        Ron

One thou per inch of diameter is rule of thumb.

Oilite bushes are usually oversize as supplied and press into a H8 reamed hole of the nominal size hole this will also close up the internal bore to the correct size. This will give you an idea of the clearances that meet H8

Thank you Jason, thats something I didnt know about the oilites and the H8 listing is very useful.

                Cheers
