Hello everyone. I’m into CNC. I started with a 3-axis milling machine running NC Studio, then decided to build a lathe, and I chose LinuxCNC for the control.

Interesting headstock. Looks very similar to that of a contact lens lathe I got very cheap to do wonderful things with that has helped hold down the floor for over 20 years.

Maybe time to revisit and try CNC as you have.

You need ccgt inserts for Ali they are much sharper.
