Hi

I am new to the whole lathe experience and totally self taut. I must admit I only use the lathe for making parts and tools for my motorbikes but I am having a little bit of a nightmare and your Forum seemed very sensible and helpful so I thought I would give it a go.

Basically my Motor Pulley and the 4 step idler pulley of my Hobbymat MD65 lathe have been broken………… Does anyone know where I can get replacements? Does anyone have any kicking around? Can anyone make me any?

Any help much appreciated, I have tried Google searches but all the e-mail address that it kicks up have not replied to my questions.

Thanks for all that, the new Hobbymat may be a dead end as it has a different pulley set up, but its got to be worth a try. The lathe works, if I can get the bloody idler pulley bearings in without destroying them, (one set killed so far!!!) its just that I can only use one or two of the four speed settings.
