      Hi, i'm jason

I run a small workshop from home. My main occupation is making garden metal work and sculpture. I do a small amount of machining and have converted old mills to CNC for people. My background is mixed, started in electronics, went into the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer, worked as a civi for the RAF at Spadeadam and many years with submersible vehicles (ROVs) in the oil Industry.

I have a chester lathe and a converted elliot 181 mill, i also have a self built/diy cnc plasma table.

My interests, if i needed any more is to setup a commercial machine shop and im already quite proficient in CAD/CAM.

Always interested to chat with like minded people.

              Welcome to the forum Jason,

Spent some time myself at RAF Spadeadam setting fire to things at QuinetiQ Odd place.

Hello Jason and welcome. Good to know that you are interested in Cad/Cam, it's something I'm becoming more interested in.

My entire working life has been spent in an engineering environment in quality rather than actually making things but I make up for that by having a well equiped manual workshop. But I have learnt the basics of Cad using Fusion 360 and it would be nice to move on to Cam.
