I am retired , 78 years old, and live in Canada. My interests are all things mechanical, although I have never practised this in my career.

I started off with a little Emco lathe, and now I have a Taig micro lathe with cross-slide milling attachment.

The bad smell was from the composting of saw dust from the saw mills as you enter the town. It is localized and never reaches the residential areas.
