Hi all jo again would anyone happen to have the wiring diagrams for the elliot 2g drill press with a hoover motor in it ive just picked one up and have refurbished it but wiring is confusing me. Electric motor wiring never been my strong point lol.

Not 100% certain, but I would have thought that perhaps a hoover motor is not original, thus perhaps making the original wiring details/connections less than perfect?

Hoover motors from Cambuslang were fitted to many Elliot machine tools.

I had an Elliot shaper (I wish I had never sold it!) and a couple of Elliot Victoria mills at the same time all with Hoover motors.

Some of the small Hoover motors were dual voltage 220/400v 3 phase units so if you have this type you can if desired fit a single phase 220Vac in 220V out 3 phase VFD, delta connection position of the link bars will be shown in the terminal cover lid.

It is the original motor they cme with two types it has 3 poles in the back of the motor will try to send some images Iit has a switch module inside the drill press head forward and reverse
