I am starting the build of the Marshall Portable engine from ME 1976. How are the dummy rivets done around the boiler ?

This is my guess. The rivits are set into countersunk holes in the wrapper before the boiler is soldered up, or there is a dummy wrapper.

I'm sure if you read the build articles in old MEs it will say.

So it is, I bet its a job keeping the rivits in the holes as he says not tomake them a tight fit?? I can see the bubbling flux popping them all out now.
