Does anyone have a drawing for a 90 degree globe valve suitable for a steam engine. It is to be screwed into a manifold and to have an outlet for 1/4" or 5/16" tube.

      Paul.

Hi Brian, Yes like that type of valve.

I would have bought from them as they are at good price but only available for 1/4" tube. Others which I have seen are a bit expensive, especially when you add postage to Australia. Therefore thought about making my own but need a drawing for either a 5/16" or one which I could scale up.

            Paul.

If you google around and find a copy of KN Harris's book "Model Stationary and Marine Engines", it includes drawings of various valves and fittings that you may be able to use.

                Thanks Hopper,

I have found sellers for the book but not in Australia and a bit reluctant to fork out $32 + postage in the hope that there may be a suitable drawing. Paying for the book is not an issue, just do not want to waste money.

The K.N. Harris book has an undimensioned drawing.

Google around a bit more. There are copies online at the right price.
