Hi guys a newbie here, just brought a Harrison l5 but not sure how to set the cross slide to different angles. Tried loosening nuts on the slide but to no avail. Regards .tony k

If your sure you've loosened the correct bolts and there are no pins holding it in place then give it a tap with a soft hammer. It could be that its never been moved and is just stuck.

Yes just loosen the two nuts and it should then rotate , there are no pins just two T bolts that rotate in a slot in the crosslide , sounds like yours may be rusted up so a bit of penetrating oil and a mallet should shift it.

Hi guys many thanks for the help, managed to free up the top slide and one of the studs has been stripped at some stage so will need to find spares , can anybody point me In the right direction for Harrison spares please. Regards tony k

Easy enough to make new studs. I tend to fit a "Tee" nut in the radial groove and use a bolt instead of a stud. Easier to replace once done.
