          for some unknown reason, I cant add the photos.

          its not saying why ???

          The mill looks like a vertical floor drill press but with a X and Y table

          it has bridgeport cast into the coloum

            Its turned out to be a Linley jig borer

            Not sure if it would usful as a mill ???

              Advert reproduced in the middle of this :- **LINK** page says it can be used for light milling.

              Later version is definitely better on milling duties as it uses the Schlaublin ESX collets split from both ends rather than the simple one way split types on the earlier versions so the cutter is more firmly held.

              From a practical viewpoint I'd be most worried about how well the spindle downed lock holds. Whole point of a jig borer it to have a smooth accurate sliding movement on the quill. Locking device to keep a milling cutter at constant depth isn't really what its about.

              Linley factory was in Bridgeport.
