Thingiverse blocking Covid searches

Anyone got any ideas why Thingiverse seems to be blocking searches for anything related to Covid-19?

Search terms of "covid" "covid19" "CV19" "coronavirus" etc, etc are uniformly met with a quick flash of result windows and then the message:

No results found for covid.
Please try another search or upload your own design

It seems unlikely that is true.

(I thought it might be "fun" with so much time on my hands to 3D print one of these things but don't want to model it myself).

Since I think Thingiverse designs are offered for non commercial use for free maybe there have been some people abusing the designs by printing for profit.

Yes, I noticed that and there are a few others too. When you get to them that way, they clearly have keywords like "covid" in their titles.

(Seems to be my week for finding peculiar things).

Bazyle, if TV are going after use-for-profit it's a pretty inept way to do it and I doubt it will stop anyone. Besides, the same situation exists for a lot of other stuff on that site.
