can anyone please tell me what the size and TPI is on the drain plug of a 501 boiler , The 504 is 5/16×26 but the 501 is smaller , I cant read my thread gauge as there doesn't seem to be enough threads to register on , or my eyesight isn't what it was !!!

My catalogue says a 1/4" check valve will fit in that hole for a feed pump but not what tpi, but I would think it is 32tpi

I would have expected that but the Kennings catalogue lists a check valve as 1/4 X 40 which I am sure doesn't fit the ST boiler
