On a dry, cold Sunday morning, we met up to steam off. It was just 7°C, so everything was thoroughly chilled, including the feed water we had brought with us. In the steam car, it was very pleasant to have the seat warmed by the steam engine underneath. In total, the steam car traveled 10 kilometers that day. There was enough energy available to heat the boiler with coal for the large Garrett traction engine. The gas bottle on the steam car quickly became covered in ice. In any case, it was so uncomfortable and cold on the trailer that it was detached after one trip. At least the waste heat from the large steam engine provided some warmth.
Our colleagues from the neighboring town arrived in their green Tracion Engine. After a six-kilometer drive, they were thoroughly chilled. But model builders are resourceful, and the mood lifted after mulled wine was heated with a steam coil. The coil has a heating capacity of approximately 7 kilowatts. All in all, it was a wonderful day for steaming.
