If you want to use a VFD you will either have to change the motor or buy one of the modified ones with voltage doubler input stage to give 440 volt output.
The standard motor is a Dahlander pole changing type which doesn't have the usual star – delta connection choices needed to run on either 440 or 220 volts three phase. See the Wikipedia article here **LINK** for details of the two speed version. As you can see the equivalent to delta connection is the low speed arrangement and equivalent to star is the high speed.
The 1024 has a three speed version. It is possible to re-arrange the motor coil connections so that either high or medium speed can be driven via a 220 V output inverter. Medium probably being best. Doing so requires the motor to be opened up and some internal connections re-arranged. Not something folk unfamiliar with motors should undertake as it would be easy to wreck it. I have the circuits. Modifying the motor is, in my opinion, a daft way of going about things as a 6 pole motor with standard VFD will cover the speed range happily.

PS Removing the motor assembly isn't easy. Space is limited and the parts are heavy. Personally I'd put a rotary converter on it, Transwave et al, and call it good.
